Handwoven and hand dyed by an artisan group in India, passionate about sustaining traditional Indian techniques.

Khadi is as special as it is versatile and sustainable. Symbolic of India’s freedom movement, the fibres used in these placemats are hand-spun and then hand woven by local artisans from 100% cotton. Indigo dyed using century old Shibori techniques, the Pusa placemats are sure to draw the eyes of your guests and be a true conversation starter in your home.

Indigo dye is produced through the natural fermentation of Indigofera Tinctoria plant leaves and has been using throughout India for thousands of years. Our artisan partners are passionate about true sustainability, tradition and century-old techniques, sustaining these to create unique designs for the modern age.

The beauty of both handmade and natural materials means no two pieces will ever be identical. There may be small differences in pattern, colour, shape or texture to what you see in the photo.
