Bayon Bowl Burgundy
Woven using sustainably sourced rattan and willow grass by a women’s artisan group in Cambodia.
The Bayon bowl is sure to draw attention as a centrepiece on your table as the soft variations in the burgundy colour reflect the true handmade and hand-dyed nature. The rattan used in these products is fast growing and only harvested in limited quantities to allow it time to replenish for future seasons.
It takes one skilled Artisan two to three days to produce one Bayon bowl. This is on top of the process of harvesting, drying and cleaning the rattan which takes about a month.
Our Artisan partner in Cambodia offers their women weavers high quality training and development while also conducting a life skills program in finances, family planning, domestic violence, positive parenting, women's rights and English language skills.
The beauty of both handmade and natural materials means no two pieces will ever be identical. There may be small differences in pattern, colour, shape or texture to what you see in the photo.
